Puppies will eat their own stool out of boredom, curiosity or in an attempt to correct a nutritional deficiency. You can use a product called FOR-BID that may prevent this behavior. It is a powder that is sprinkled on food. You can usually get it from your veterinarian. Leash walk her and pick up stool immediately. Restrict her access to areas where there is stool. Puppies will usually outgrow this behavior.

Puppies will eat their poop pit of curiosity, boredom or in an attempt to correct a nutritional deficiency. Confirm a healthy, balanced diet. Provide plenty of toys, tasks and exercise to keep him distracted and avoid areas where there is stool. When you walk him, pick up his stool immediately after he finishes his business. There are food additives, such as For-Bid, that you can sprinkle on food as a deterrent. Thankfully, puppies usually outgrow this behavior.
