My cat is peeing in the dog's bed. Why is she doing this after moving?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | spayed | 1 year and 5 months old | 6 lbs

I have recently moved into my mums house and although my cat has been pooping in her litter tray she now only pees in the dogs bed. She is over a year old and house trained. So I don't know why she is doing this?

It may be caused by stress and anxiety from the move into your mums house. You could, however, have your vet run a urinalysis just to make sure she doesn't have a urinary tract infection. Otherwise, you could try a Feliway diffuser/spray to see if that helps. You could also try Solliquin chews. If the problem continues, talk to your vet about trying an anti-anxiety medication, like Prozac to see if that helps.
