When should I spay my rabbit, and what are the telltale signs?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | 2 months and 7 days old | 1.5 lbs

How do I determine when I should spay my rabbit? I hear it is ideal to do so between 4-6 months but is it okay to take her in anytime during this timeframe or will there be telltale signs that she needs to be spayed?

There will probably not be any sign during this time frame, if she gets in heat she may start being a little territorial and aggressive. i would personally recommend to wait until she is 6 months to have her spayed, i believe it is safer.
