Why won't my dog eat after being outside, even after vet check?

My dog was outside yesterday and he came in the house and wasn't acting like him self I took him to the vet and he said he looks good but he's not eating I don't know what to do

Poor Deisel! This could mean a variety of things. Certainly anorexia tends to occur when there is an issue of some sort. It tends to be a very non-specific sign that can occur with several conditions. His issues could be due perhaps eating something outside yesterday that did not sit well and he is having some gastrointestinal upset. However, other possibilities such as ingestion of a toxic substance or foreign body material may be warranted if he does not improve. You can consider having your veterinarian recheck him if there is no improvement and other diagnostics such as abdominal radiographs or abdominal ultrasound as well as infectious disease testing (such as parvovirus) may be recommended for further assessment of his condition. Maintain fresh water at all times for now to try to keep him hydrated. You may try offer him a bland diet composed of easily digestible food items such as boiled chicken, rice, turkey, ham and lean ground beef. If no improvement on his own I strongly recommend prompt reevaluation. Good luck with Deisel!

    I would take him back to the vet for a recheck exam. If he is still off and not doing well, I would consider testing his blood and potentially checking him for parvo. Hopefully he improves soon and doesn't get worse. Feel free to contact me with any further questions or concerns you may have.
