I had two dogs but I had to put one to sleep. The other has been acting strangely ever since. Her sleeping and eating patters have changed. She seems to want to eat constantly. What can I do to to get her back to her old habits

I'm so sorry you recently lost one of your dogs! I would have Pixi seen by a vet for her behavior changes. While dogs do grieve when they lose a companion, her symptoms such as the excessive eating could be caused by a medical problem such as diabetes. Having a physical exam, geriatric blood panel, and urinalysis done on her would be a good idea just to make sure she is ok physically. If an abnormality is found, the vet can discuss treatment options with you. Should she be fine physically, then the vet can talk with you about behavioral means you can take to help her return to her old habits. It's very important first, however, to rule out any medical problems, so I would have her seen by the vet on Monday. Good luck, I hope this helps!
