Kennel cough is usually self limiting, lasting about 2 weeks with or without treatment. The cough can linger for longer though. You can discuss cough suppressant use with your veterinarian. There are prescription and OTC medications available. Do not medicate your dog without the advice of your vet. You can run a hot shower for 10-15 minutes then place Brown in the bathroom (NOT in the shower) for 15-20 minutes. The steam may loosen chest congestion. Coupage, or percussion, therapy may also help. Follow the link for a short video. https://youtu.be/mjPMjlhluQ4
