Cozy needs to see a vet ASAP! The green/yellow color of the nasal discharge indicates there is an infection and he will need to be treated with antibiotics. This infection may be up in his nose or sinuses but if left untreated it could progress to a pneumonia (into his lungs) and he will then be extremely sick which could require hospitalization. I hope this helps. Best wishes to you and Cozy. Hope he feels better soon!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sadie Mae is adorable! Yes, Sadie should see a Vet. Her symptoms indicate an upper respiratory infection, kennel cough or pneumonia. The greenish discharge from her nose indicates an infection. She likely needs antibiotics. Puppies Sadie’s age can get sicker quickly. It’s best to be proactive. I hope this helps and I wish Sadie Mae a speedy recovery. Happy New Year!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is likely due to an upper respiratory infection. It may be kennel cough for instance. This is usually treated with antibiotics. There is not much you can do at home until he is seen by a veterinarian. What may help loosen up some of that mucus is getting him in the bathroom with you with the door closed and having hot water run in the shower. This creates a steam that may help loosen up some of that mucus. If he is declining, he should be evaluated sooner by an emergency veterinarian. The main concern with these infections is that sometimes they can get to the lungs if it goes untreated. I am hoping for the best!

No, this isn't normal. It sounds like Serj has a respiratory infection causing the sneezing and snotty nose. He should see a vet for these symptoms, as he could get worse leading him to become lethargic and have a a decrease in appetite. Please give your vet a call to set up an appointment for him so his symptoms can be treated. Best of luck, I hope this helps.
