Dogs can lick at their paws for several reasons, including pain or itching. This can be caused by allergies, debris in the paw, a skin infection or a sore paw. I would recommend taking Tipsy to his regular vet to be evaluated and start on treatment if needed (pain meds, antibiotics, or other).

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. There may be something stuck in the paw or this could be due to allergies / irritation. If it persists I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at Jack so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction! Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
