My dog's skin allergies are so bad he's scratching until he bleeds.

Pet's info: Dog | American Cocker Spaniel | Male | neutered | 8 years and 8 months old | 34 lbs

My dog since moving to Massachusetts, has some serious skin allergies and he has been scratching to the point of bleeding. What would you recommend?

Poor Peyton! It looks like has a secondary bacterial infection from the allergies which makes the itching worse. I would see your vet for an exam and antibiotics. Your vet will also be able to provide him with some stronger ant-itch meds like steroids or apoquel. Unfortunately I do not think Benadryl will be strong enough since he is itching that much! I hope this helps!
