My pug has a pink eyelid lump. Should I worry if it's growing?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | neutered | 9 months and 15 days old | 15 lbs

My pug has a pink growth on the top of his eyelid in his eyelashes, it's gotten a little bigger and I noticed it about a week ago. It doesn't seem to be bothering him but I'm just wondering if it's something to be concerned about or if it will go away. I've been doing hot compresses but it doesn't seem to be helping. (It won't let me upload a photo :( )

It is most likely a benign tumor. They are usually nothing to worry about unless they are: 1. Growing rapidly 2. Bothering the dog 3. Open/bleed or ulcerate 4. Rub on the eye/cornea causing discomfort/pain So, it is not an emergency but it would be a good idea to get Calvin to a vet in the next couple of weeks to have him checked since I cannot see what you are talking about. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
