My active cat has bloody diarrhea for 24 hours. What should I do?

Cat has had diarrhea for 24 hours mixed with mucus/bloody diarrhea. Still somewhat active/has an appetite. Peeing okay. Got digestive pills for her (homeopet digestive). Seemed to lower the frequency. Still worried :( Can't get in town to vet till middle of week. Parasite issue? Thank you so much. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Female | spayed | 6 years and 3 months old | 18 lbs

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Deja! There are many causes for diarrhea: food change, parasite, underlying intestinal inflammation, pancreatitis, viruses, metabolic conditions. The blood indicated inflammation in the colon and usually indicated the need for antibiotics. You could try a probiotic in the mean time or call your Vet and see if they can recommend a prescription bland diet to try until you can get her in to see them! I like Purina fortiflora Good luck!
