Why is my dog vomiting and having diarrhea but still acting normal?

Hi! My Great Dane was just taken to the vet about two weeks ago to get caught up on his shots. He also had fleas up until a couple days ago and now he is having diarrhea in the house, which is something he NEVER does, and is vomiting not even 5 minutes later. Sam, my Dane, still acts normal and wants to eat his food if I put something else with it, but I'm worried. Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Male | neutered | 1 year and 10 months old | 110 lbs

I am concerned about this amount of vomiting and diarrhea. Since the vaccines were 2 weeks ago they are not likely the cause of the symptoms. I would withhold food (small amounts of water are ok) for 12-24 hours and see how he does. If the symptoms continue after fasting then I would recommend having Sam checked out by your vet. They may need to run blood work or take X-rays to determine what is going on. Your vet can also give Sam so medication to help stop the vomiting and some antibiotics to help clear up the diarrhea.
