Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 2 years and 1 month old
One side of my cat's upper lip is a bit swollen. I could only notice it from an under wiev. He's not bothered by it at all, but this is the first time i saw something like this and i got scared. Will it go away on its own? Or should i take him to the vet for teatment?

Without a picture it's difficult to guess, but lip swelling can be a rodent ulcer, which is usually due to an allergy. Make sure Leonardo is on flea prevention and you can also try switching his water and food bowls to a different material. If it doesn't go away you should see a vet as he may need further treatment.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Kiwi. I do recommend that he sees his veterinarian. I do not believe the lesion on his lip will go away on its own and may continue to grow. He appears to have a wound known as an indolent or rodent ulcer. It is typically an immune reaction to an allergy such as fleas, food or something in the environment. If it is treated before it gets larger, it will have a better chance of healing and be less costly. If you have cost concerns, be sure to ask the veterinarian for an estimate before services are performed. You can also ask for several options if the first choice is too expensive. Most veterinarians are happy to help find a solution that benefits your pet and works within your budget. I hope this information helps!
