My dog has a gross groin rash that doesn't bother him. What is it?

My dog has this rash looking thing by his groin for a week now. I have used a medicated spray on it as well as given him Benadryl for two days. It looks a little better but is still gross. Just wondering what it is. it doesn't bother him at all. Thank you! Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 4 years and 8 months old | 61 lbs
