My dog is coughing up clear liquid. Is it allergies or kennel cough?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 28 days old | 12 lbs

She has been coughing and when she does sometimes clear/ white liquid comes out. TMI it kinda looks like a clear lugi (gross I know) but should I take her in to my vet or do you think it's allergies.

It's unlikely to be allergies and more likely she has kennel cough (upper respiratory infection). I would definitely recommend taking her in to your vet to make sure it isn't anything more serious and then she can be prescribed antibiotics to help clear things up. Best wishes with Phoenix at the vet. I hope everything works out well for her. Take care.
