My dog's eyes look red and wet, like he's been crying. What's wrong?

my dog has redness beside each eye. it is not in the eye, but beside the eye. it looks like he has been crying and the area that is wet is red.

He may have irritation from the excessive tears he is producing or a mild allergic reaction. I would recommend wiping his eye discharge with a warm wet clean cloth daily and continuing to monitor this area for any improvement. If the discharge turns yellow or green, the eyes become bothersome or if you notice Titus squinting his eyes, then he needs to be seen by your vet for treatment of s suspected infection. However if this is about all the eyes are going to progres to, then mild allergies may be to blame, in which case your vet may be able to recommend some antihistamines for him to take to see if their is improvement.
