My cat's eye is watery sometimes. What causes this and what can I do?

My cat has been tearing on one eye on and off? Theres no other signs of anything wrong with it the her tearing.

Tearing can be caused by many things: allergen in the eye, clogged tear duct, glaucoma, uveitis, scratch on the cornea, etc. Eyes are very delicate organs and they can go bad quickly if not treated appropriately and in a timely manner. It is always recommended to have your pet checked out by a veterinarian if there is something abnormal going on with the eye. While you are waiting to get Sweetie seen by your vet you can use saline solution (like for people with contact lenses) to rinse out the eye twice a day. If there is an allergen in the eye or some dirt/dust this may help rinse it out. I hope this helps. Best wishes!
