I have a 5 month old puppy, and he has worms, how do I treat it and how long

It depends which type of worms but they typically have dewormers at pet stores with a dose bybeeight and directions and when to repeat but if they are tapeworms ( small like rice) then you need to provide flea prevention also

    It would depend on the specific parasite. Some can be cleared with two or three dewormings spaced 2 weeks apart. Others may need deworming out to 3 months. Submit a stool sample to your veterinarian. Afterwards, the most effective dewormer can be dispensed or administered.
