My dogs have diarrhea and vomit. Do I need an emergency vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 62 lbs

I have two dogs, a German shepherd mix and a pitbull rottie mix. When I came home, there were multiple spots of runny diarrhoea and vomit. Neither one has jaundiced eyes, but the pit/Rottie has warm ears and paws. I'm not sure whether or not to call the vet, as it's 9:00 on a Sunday night. Help!

You should monitor both of them for now in order to determine who it was for sure, it's not an emergency as long as non of them are lethargic. if it happens again and you find out who it is you can then take him/her to the vet to get treated.
