We have an 11 week puppy that we got Friday night. At night we have been cornering him with his bed. He only has enough space to sleep so she doesn't s**t where he sleep. It has been working BUT he barks all night. Because of neighbours we were thinking of putting him in a playpen instead (hubby thinks he won't bark if he has more room). I'm worried we shouldn't change what we started. Needing some advice...

It's common for young puppies to bark and cry if they are alone at night - more space is not likely to make any difference. I would recommend having Toby sleep in a crate right beside your bed at night. This way, you can talk to him or rest your hand on the crate to reassure him if he fusses.

If you move him to a play pen he will have a enough to use the bathroom and sleep and will be harder to potty train. I would hang in there with your current plan... hebwikk adjust and get used to your routine and not cry
