My parakeet's poop is red. Could it be his new food or a health issue?

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | unneutered

Hello I bought a parakeet last week and i know for a fact that he is under a year old. I been noticing that he would sleep in the very top corner of the cage by hanging on the side of the bars but when i return he would climb down and sleep on his perch. Yesterday, i noticed that his poop was a little red and was wondering if it could due to the fact that i switched food that is causing his stomach to get upset? I recently, order vitamins to put in his water to boost his immune system.

Red droppings are either a sign of blood or colouring from the food (any red coloured food?), if it's not a food colour then your bird has a serious gastrointestinal condition, most probably an infection, you should take Sylis to an avian vet to be checked and treated ASAP, in some cases a faecal sample can reveal the source of the disease.
