My cat's eye is yellow, cloudy, and bloodshot on antibiotics. Is it serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Ciri has been given some antibiotic/probiotics to deal with some bacteria and worms but within her 4th day of taking her medicine her right eye has changed from her pale blue color to a light yellow and some cloudiness has appeared with the whites being bloodshot. Any advice or information would be very helpful. Thank you

It sounds like your kitty may have an eye infection, which could not be related to the antibiotics. It could also be due to trauma to the eye. Any eye condition is considered an emergency, as leaving them treated can lead to vision loss. I would take your kitty into a vet now. The vet can diagnose what is causing these changes in her eye, and how best to treat it.
