How often and how much formula for a 2-week-old bottle-fed puppy?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 14 days old

My two week old puppy is bottle fed and tries to eat every 2 hours. How much milk replacement formula should be be eating a day? Everything I have read says he should be okay for 6-8 hours between feedings.

At this age I would feed him every four hours. You can feed him as much as he is willing to drink, he should stop drinking when he has had enough. Do not forget to stimulate his anus and penis opening to entice him to poop and pee. Wipe him with a moist cloth once in a while to keep him clean all over.
