Lola threw up yesterday & had diarrhea. Today her poop is harder but she yips if I squeeze her stomach. Should I be concerned? She ate & is drinking.

Poor Lola - it sounds like her stomach hurts a bit. If she is eating and drinking today and her poop is improving, it should be okay to continue monitoring her for the next day or two. You can feed her small amounts of a bland diet such as plain boiled chicken and rice for the next few days to help settle her stomach and get things back to normal. If she begins vomiting again, stops eating, or begins acting very lethargic, then I would recommend taking her to the vet since these can be signs of a more serious problem such as pancreatitis.

Poor Lola! I would not squeeze her stomach, you may accidentally be hurting her by doing that and her reaction may have nothing to do with her being ill, just pain from the squeezing. It's a good sign that her feces is more solid today, and that she is eating and drinking. She could have eaten something rotten, a sudden change in diet could have caused the vomiting and diarrhea, or she could have a foreign body or pancreatitis. I would feed her a bland diet to settle her stomach for the next couple of days. Give her boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If she vomits the bland diet, diarrhea continues on the bland diet, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.
