We want to buy bigger bags of kibble because it's cheaper that way, but Kiba eats small amounts. Does it go bad fast or is it okay to keep it longer?

Most manufacturers print a "best by" date on the bags of food. Storing the food in its original bag inside an airtight container in a cool, dry area will slow degradation and protect the food from vermin. You may end up spending more money (in the form of wasted or bad food) if you buy too much though.
