My dog ate candy (not chocolate) and is throwing up pink mucus. Help!

My dog ate a bag of candy from the candy store.No chocolate but licorice, hot tamales, gummies, and possibly a jelly bean.thrown up twice pink mucousy

Oh poor Pablo! It sounds like he has an upset stomach from eating all those candy. As long as they weren't sugar free (which would contain xylitol that is poisonous to dogs), more than likely they will cause him stomach upset. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.
