My dog is scratching a lot. Could it be fleas? How to ease itching?

Hi,so my dog has been scratching for about a week now mostly and after a lot of questions and reading it may be fleas i used a flea comb, this is what came out. What could this be? He has a 1 inch diameter, 1/8" high bump on his inner thigh could this be something with fleas? I want to get him bravecto instead of advantix II in 2 days because my veterinarian gave that for fleas before? how can I ease the itching until I go to the vet tomorrow and give bravecto on Thursday? Thank You

It is hard to tell on your pictures what exactly this is but I do not see any live fleas. Both fleas and an environmental allergy can cause excessive itching though. You have a great plan to provide Rocky some relief by switching flea prevention. The best thing to do until you can get to your appointment is give him a bath to soothe his skin and you can administered an over the counter antihistamine to relieve some itching.
