Why does my senior cat's urine smell fruity? Is it a health concern?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 10 years and 2 months old | 12 lbs

My 10 year old cat's urine oder is different. It now has a kind of fruity smell.

Changes in urine odor can often be caused by urinary tract infections, or certain systemic illnesses like diabetes. I would recommend taking Phoebe to the vet for a check-up, and letting the vet know that you have noticed this - he/she can do a urinalysis to check for any problems, and get Phoebe started on appropriate treatment if an issue is found :)
