Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 11 months old | 90 lbs
A day and a half ago, our 90lb, 2 year old yellow lab male developed hives - pretty extensive - from a suspected insect bite/sting. It was the middle of the night, so we took him to the Animal ER. They gave him injections of dexamethasone, diphenhydramine, and famotidine. We were told to give him 3 Benadryl every 8 hours starting 8 hours after we left the clinic. I have done this. Since then, he has vomited his food a couple of times. (He sometimes does this anyway). An injection reaction?

It could be a reaction but could also indicate stomach irritation from the steroid injection. Sometimes a bland diet like white rice and boiled chicken helps for a few days but if the vomiting continues, he has bloody diarrhea, seems painful of weak Murdoch needs to be rechecked by a veterinarian to make sure nothing more serious is causing his symptoms.

He is likely not a reaction to any of the injections that they gave him. You can increase the Benadryl to 100mg of Benadryl every 8 hours. You can also give 20mg Pepcid to help his nausea. If he isn't better by tomorrow I would call your vet to ensure there is nothing additional going on.
