Hi Sam! No need to panic about Milly's skin! Some of the most common causes of these types of lesions include skin infections from underlying allergies, ringworm, or mange. Your vet will be able to perform any necessary testing (skin scrapes to check for the mites causing mange, fungal culture for ringworm and cytology to check for bacteria causing a skin infection) to get to the bottom of this issue. If she is chewing on her skin as a result of the itching, it is worth putting an e-collar (cone) on her until this weekend. Also make sure that Milly is receiving a high quality flea preventative regularly, such as Advantix, Bravecto or Nexgard. You can try giving her a bath in a gentle oatmeal-based dog shampoo to ease a bit of discomfort until the vet visit. I hope that all goes well!
