Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 7 months old
I was wondering how can you tell which worms your cat has . I'm new to all of this, we cought him rubbing his bottom on our floor . He has blood in his stool and I found these white pieces on his bottom that looked like rice. Any help would be greatly appreciated , I feel bad for him.

This is a common description of tapeworm segments. You would need to submit them and a stool sample to your veterinarian to definitively diagnose specific intestinal parasites. If your cat does have tapeworms or other parasites, your veterinarian can dispense the appropriate medication. It will likely need to be repeated in 2-3 weeks. You will also need to treat Jax and the environment for fleas since that is how cats become infected with tapeworm.
