My puppy has a growing bump on his skin. Should I be worried?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 26 days old | 25 lbs

Good morning. I was wondering if you could help me about this bump on my dog. I adopted him almost 3 weeks ago. He is a 5 month old possible aussie/catahoula mix. I noticed this mark, but it seems to have gotten bigger. His harness doesn't seem to reach this area, but it may. He did have mites, but has had two dips and seems better. He also had parasites in his stool, but has finished his medication for that as well. That's about all I know at this given time. Thank you so much!

It could be a histiocytoma which is a benign skin tumor that is usually seen in young dogs. The tumor usually spontaneously goes away without treatment. Your vet can do a fine needle aspirate to determine the cause and if treatment is needed.

This looks like a histiocytoma which is a benign tumor common in dogs under 5 years of age but can happen in any age dog. They usually regress on their within 3 months time. If you are worried you should have him examined by your vet. If it does not go away on it's own in a few months you should have him examined by your vet. If it starts to bother him you should have him examined by your vet. ( https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4952066 )
