A puppy must be 6 weeks before receiving his first dose of vaccines as the antibodies from their mom's milk is in their system and will not allow an immune response to the vaccine any earlier than that. Dewormers are usually safe to give before 6 weeks so some breeder choose to give them before 6 weeks of age, but they don't necessarily NEED a dewormer before than can receive the vaccine.
