Why is my parrot plucking feathers and getting angry? Is he sick?

I have an alexanderian parrot nearly of 3-4 months he is peering all the time and sometimes removes his feathers and eats them and if we take away feather that he is eating he gets angry what should I do? Please help.

Feather plucking in birds can be a medical or a behavioral issue. It is best to have your vet examine your parrot to be sure there isn't a medical reason for his feather plucking (such as allergies, kidney or liver disease, fungal or bacterial infection). If no medical cause is found, then behavioral issues must be addressed (either anxiety or boredom) with enrichment of the environment. Unfortunately feather plucking can become a habit if it continues, so it is best to get the problem addressed ASAP to avoid this complication!
