Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 6 months old | 90 lbs

Hello, i noticed my pitbull has a couple small bumps on her body. She is not loosing hair but i noticed them. They are very very small. She is current on shots and all but i am just concerned. Should i take her in? Im also worried about the cost being as i am a single mother of 3 and have very little income left over after paychecks. But i love my furbaby and do take care of her as one of my children as well.

There are many different causes for a small bump on the body. These could be swellings from insect bites, a result of allergies, or a skin growth/tumor. In a younger dog we would be more suspicious of insect bites or allergies with secondary infection. If she doesn't appear to be bothering them and they aren't covered by a scab and don't have a discharge, you can try observing them for changes for a few weeks. Check them each day (it can help to measure them with a ruler to start out so you can really tell if they are increasing or decreasing in size). If they increase in size, develop a scab/crust, or do not go away after several weeks, then a vet exam is needed.
