My puppy is coughing. What can I do for kennel cough before the vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 9 days old | 5 lbs

My puppy may have kennel cough. She still cheerful and eat well only she cough a lot. She will have her appointment for physical exam and vacation on Saturday. Do you have any advice that I can help her about her cough until she see a veterinarian? Thank you.

I would recommend to keep her quiet, make sure she eats and continues to behave normally until her visit to the vet. I would use a harness instead of a collar to avoid pulling on the trachea and add a bit of water on her dry food to soften it a little bit. If kennel cough is confirmed by your veterinarian he/she might suggest to postpone vaccinations till Merry is back to normal. Kennel cough is generally a self limiting disease but keep a close eye on Merry and get her to the vet before Saturday if you are worried.
