Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed
Hi, my cat very often brings up her food about two minutes after eating it. She has been doing it now for a while probably once a week. When cleaning the mess up I see that it still looks whole, not chewed. It seems like such a waste of food, but I worry about why she is continually doing this. She seems to be very healthy otherwise. Can you advise please? Should I see a vet? Thank you Debrah Wilson.

Furballs or food sensitivities would be a common cause for recurrent vomiting in cats - I would recommend treating regularly with a hairball paste and keeping to a bland, hypoallergenic/sensitive diet to see if the symptoms resolve. Dental disease can also cause cats to chew their food poorly - a check up by your vet would be recommended if she is reluctant to chew her food

She may be eating too much, or too fast. I would first try to feed only small amounts (spoonful) at a time and ensure you are not feeding more than the daily recommended amount per the directions on the bag/can of food. It's possible that she has a condition that is causing her to vomit. If the above recommendations are not helpful, then it's best to have her seen by a vet. Below is a link to more information about vomiting in cats. https://www.petcoach.co/article/most-common-causes-of-vomiting-in-cats I hope that helps and Pooh gets better soon.
