My kitten has wounds. Is it an infection? Should I separate her?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 13 days old | 0.5 lbs

They are many wounds on fit, hands and stomach of my kitten. She's about three weeks and she's growing up without mother. Is it dangrous for her health? There are also two other kittens with her. Shall we seprate them with each other? Shall we give her any medicine?

Even though a picture would help to understand better the underlying cause, this presentation could be due to a trauma or skin infection. A check up, appropriate disinfection and eventually antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection can eventually be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Yes, I would definitively separate her from the others.
