My dog has kennel cough & yellow phlegm. Is it a bacterial infection?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | | 5 lbs

Well my dogs had kennel cough for about a week n a half took him to vet they said it will leave on its own but today he coughed up some yellow phlegm I'm worried

If it's been already over 10 days and he is coughing yellow phlegm, this is a sign that he needs an antibiotic course as it is likely that the viral infection has escalated to a bacterial infection. you should take him to the vet ASAP in order to get treated.
