I have noticed my dogs testes and back of his legs have gone darker he has no injuries

This hyper pigmentation of the skin is usually related to a chronic inflammation. Yeast or mite chronic infection could be responsible for that. I would recommend a check up and appropriate treatment which may include medicated shampoo (like Malaseb shampoo).
