My female dog humps toys. Why does she do this and is it normal?

My dog likes humping toys and I am wondering why she does that?? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 7 months old | 20 lbs

Lola is humping toys because she is masturbating. She has learned this behavior feels good which is why she is doing it. I see that she is unspayed, and spaying her can reduce the behavior so I would recommend having her spayed :-)
