Dog has a growing cyst and a new discolored skin bump. Is it serious?

My Jack is a 135 lb mystery mix breed and he is my world. He has a large cyst behind his back leg that is growing rapidly and I only just noticed another bump under that cyst (if that's what it is), but this one feels and looks way different from the cyst, I thought it was a gigantic tick or skin tag or something? It was patchy, like pink or flesh color and either black or dark brown splotches on it. He had a softball sized cyst removed from upper back 4 years ago. This new bump is scaring me. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 9 years and 3 months old | 135 lbs

Hello, it doesn't sound like what you are describing is a tick. It sounds more like a cyst or mass with pigmentation on the skin. Just like any bump or lump, it should be checked to make sure it isn't something that needs to be removed. Good luck with Jack.
