hello, can you please help me, anything would mean so much.. My dog has mastitis, she is 8 years old, she didnt have any puppies in the last 6 months but her nipple is now swollen and she eats very little and drinks a bit more.. Something like blood is coming out of her tit... I applied warm water compresses and gave her water.. can you tell me a bit more about this. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 75 lbs

Poor Conny! She could have an infection but she could also have a mammary mass that is causing the problem. She needs to be examined by your vet to determine the exact cause. She will need an oral antibiotic if she has an infection. If there is a mass than your vet will need to get a biopsy to determine the exact cause. Please call your vet and have her seen as soon as possible, especially since she is not eating. Hope she feels better soon!
