Why is my senior dog hunched over, struggling to walk, and scared?

hi my dog has been acting weird lately hes around 10 years old and when he goes down the stairs or walks he has a hunched up back he's been doing this for the last couple of days. and looks like he's scared. what can this be? should i be worried? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 30 lbs

It sounds like he may have pain and discomfort,, either from arthritis ir spinal disks. A full physical exam is recommended and your vet can prescribe antiinflammatory medications and supportive treatment such as mobility diets depending on the underlying nature of the condition
