My chinchilla is pooping less and not himself. Is he constipated?

Pet's info: Exotic | Unknown - Exotic | Male | unneutered | 1 year old | 478 lbs

I'm worried about hoodie my chinchilla ...He's eating ok an drinking but he's not him self but pooping very little...He still plays around when you let him out of the cage an happy to have a dust bath..

If Hoodie is acting a little lethargic or not passing stool as easily he may be a bit constipated. Making sure he is drinking enough water and is on the correct food may help. However, if the problem persists for more than a day or so, or you see other signs of illness such as loss of appetite, or lack of interest in normal activities, it is best to schedule a veterinary exam. Parasites, illness, obstructions and more may all cause changes in bowel habits, so finding the underlying problem is best.
