I have a7 month old pit bull. He had a break out of bumps under his fur along his spine. I changed his shampoo to hypoallergenic and they started to improve and were almost gone. I waited a few days and bathed him again with the hypoallergenic shampoo and after 24 hours he has even more bumps than the first time. Not sure what to do.

It is possible he is having an allergic reaction to something in the house or yard. Check Biggie for evidence of fleas. Wash all his bedding in plain water or a hypoallergenic detergent. If he eats and drinks from plastic bowls, switch to ceramic or stainless steel bowls. These are just a few ways to reduce allergens. If he is licking or chewing excessively, place an e-collar (cone) on him and schedule an exam with your veterinarian. Allergies can develop at any time and can be frustrating to diagnose, so you'll need your vet's assistance. Discuss antihistamine use and allergy testing with the doctor.
