My dog is a Maltese, and he is 5 years old. He's recently been vomiting brown liquid (with which I think are bits of dog food), but otherwise he seems perfectly fine. His appetite is normal and he's still very playful. Should I be worrying?

If he is otherwise acting fine than you could withhold food for 12 hours and then try a bland diet, like chicken and white rice and see if that helps. If the vomiting continues or he becomes lethargic than he needs to be examined by your vet to determine the cause. He could have a infection, parasite, upset stomach from something he ate, pancreatitis, liver/kidney disease, etc. Your vet can run lab-work and take x-rays to help diagnose and then prescribe medications to help treat.
