Biography
Hi I'm Dr. Lauren Barry, I am a pet parent and a mom to two young boys. I grew up in the United Kingdom, and attended The University of Liverpool, England for my veterinary degree. I have spent the last decade working in small animal (pet) practice both as a general practitioner, as well as an urgent care animal doctor - so I have a wealth of experience in both routine and emergency medicine. My husband and I moved "across the pond" to Orange Country, CA in 2011 and I now work for Banfield The Pet Hospital. I love the challenge and variety of my job, but my biggest passion is to educate pet owners on the best ways to keep their furry family members healthy and to live longer. I also wish to help owners make the right decisions at the end of their pet's life, so that they can pass with compassion and without suffering.
I have a rescue pit-bull mix named Jenga who enjoys hiking with me. I also love hot yoga and spending time at the beach with my family.
