My hamster has a crusty eye, but no other symptoms. What's wrong?

Hi! I have another hamster , male that I adopted from a pretty bad situation about a year ago. I’m not sure how old he is , but I know he’s older. He has had crust close his eye up for the past two days. Comes apart with a bit of warm water. He was sick , but since then has been given some remedies recommended by a vet and gotten better. Should I bet worried about this crusty eye or is it normal? He has not other symptoms. Pet's info: Small Animal | Hamster | Male | unneutered

I would continue to wipe the eye clear daily to make sure it stays open. If there is any discolored discharge from it, this could indicate an infection has formed or there is still an underlying issue. If the discharge is clear, making sure that Winston's environment is clean and dust free may help as well to reduce irritation. If the eye doesn't clear up on its own after a few days of cleaning, worsens, or other symptoms of illness appear, a recheck with your vet is best.
