Kitten has red, bleeding bottom after diarrhea. Should I stop meds?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

Found a orphaned kitten About 4 weeks now Had diarrhea on Sunday took to vet Gave abx and anti diarrhea med Now has redness and slight bleeding of rectum Still loose stool but much better color and consistency Eating fine...30 ml of formula 4 x day Plays...but bottom definitely tender Keep it clean with water bath to clean off fecal matter What ointment can I use ?should I stop meds ? Should I be concerned

Contact your veterinarian for an update or recheck. DO not stop treatment unless directed by your vet. Consider a veterinary probiotic (Bene-Bac, ProViable, ProStora, FortiFlora) to promote gut health. Use a pet wipe or plain unscented baby wipe to keep her bottom clean. An e-collar (cone) can be used if she is licking. Ointment is not recommended in case she licks it off and ingests it.
